We are pleased to announce that a workshop on “Clinical Decision Support System in healthcare settings” will be held on Feb 18, 2014, by International Affairs Office. The speaker of the workshop will be the IT instructor and the international students.
The target audience is the international students as well as interested faculty members and students. The registration deadline is Feb 15, 2014. In order to register, please go to the International affairs in person or call Mrs. Masomi at 61054120. The first 30 registrants are prioritized for admission to the workshop. The workshop presentation is in English and participants will be given certificates of attendance.
About Clinical Decision Support System
Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) seem to be a hot topic for conference presentations and discussion lists these days.
CDSS is the technology designed to improve outcomes and patient safety, and suggested that reduce reliance on memory and decrease errors. Decision Support Systems are essential for effective integration of knowledge tools into clinical practice. Healthcare professionals and nurses need to share ways to determine CDSS effectiveness, and disseminate related information to clinicians and healthcare customers. If these tools are not well integrated into clinical workflow, clinicians discuss the use of them and may disagree and ignore recommendations. This workshop will give basic information about implementation of CDSS in healthcare settings.
